My friend and I popped into The Rustic in Dallas this past Saturday, and while the place was absolutely packed—a good sign, really—we were pleasantly surprised to snag a table for two right away, even without a reservation! The atmosphere was buzzing, set by some really fantastic live music that made the whole experience feel energetic and fun. We both went for the brunch special, which at $21 per person was incredibly affordable. It was a great deal, offering more than enough food to fill us up. We also ordered two mimosas, which were decent but nothing spectacular. The food itself was good, not necessarily "blow-you-away amazing," but certainly satisfying. My personal favorite part of the plate was the little slices of French toast—they were delicious! Overall, the ambience is what really makes The Rustic shine. It's a lively spot with good vibes, affordable prices, and great music. I'd definitely come back to try something different from their regular menu next time!

The Rustic is absolutely worth experiencing at least once. It’s a uniquely Texas spot—an indoor/outdoor setup, live music on the weekends, and a menu that mixes familiar favorites with some creative twists. Atmosphere: A Very Texas without feeling kitschy. The live music adds to the vibe, though it can get a little loud if you’re sitting outside. Food: B+ A mix of comfort food and inventive takes. Their “burger” is really a brisket-and-cheese stack, which works, and they’ve got easy staples like quesadillas for less adventurous eaters. Draft beer is served in a giant fishbowl-style glass. Recommend the Tupps Juice Pack. Service: D This is where things went sideways, and I’m hoping it was just bad timing. Our server was overwhelmed from the start—slow, flustered, and quick to blame the kitchen or “his other large table” for anything that went wrong. One entrée was completely forgotten, so most of us finished eating before it finally arrived. Someone in our group ordered a second gin and tonic that never appeared. When a manager came out to apologize for the missing entrée, we mentioned the drink, and she got it taken care of immediately. Five minutes later, another staff member showed up with two more gin and tonics. When we said we didn’t need extras, the server and the runner started debating the mix-up right at our table—and even asked if we were sure we hadn’t ordered two more. Fortunately, our group can laugh at chaos, so it became part of the entertainment once they walked away.

The Rustic truly has one of the best happy hours in town! The atmosphere is exactly what you want after a long day — laid-back but buzzing, with plenty of space to kick back on the patio while enjoying live music. The food did not disappoint either. The meatballs were hearty and full of flavor, and the smoky queso had just the right balance of creamy and bold — perfect for sharing. But the real surprise star of the night? The kids’ chicken quesadilla! Cheesy, golden, and so delicious that the adults at the table couldn’t help but steal a few bites. Pair it all with their craft cocktails (which are just as good as they look) and the unbeatable vibe of live tunes under the Texas sky, and you’ve got yourself the recipe for a perfect night out.

Food was excellent, service was great. Alejandro made suggestions and the choices were excellent. Food could not be improved. The pork chop was the best I've ever had. Very tender and good flavor. Dessert was delicious. It was the ice box smores. It was amazing. I highly recommend. All the good options do make for a little bit of a bill. Appetizer, drink, entree, and dessert was pushing $70 before tip. Not terrible for the amount of food, but a little higher than some casual spots. The pork chop was massive and it was enough food for 2 people.

The Rustic offers an awesome ambience with live music that creates a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. The food quality and taste are truly amazing. I tried the cactus fries, wild grilled portobello, jalapeño cornbread, and the iced box s’mores dessert — all of which were absolutely delicious. Overall, it's an outstanding restaurant that I would highly recommend.

Well I had short break and I had a delicious house salad with chicken. It's a normal size thank God not an American size and a lemonade with maybe a bit too much water. Quick service, super friendly staff and a free parking. And my dog was welcomed. Spoiled with water and lots of treats. Thank you this very nice experience.

We were looking for a pet friendly spot to have dinner and we found a great one. Really nice restaurant with a great vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating options but in the outdoor area you can listen to live music as the stage is set outdoors. menu was good, would like a little more variety as it leans heavier to spicy food but we were able to find stuff we liked. If we are in Dallas we will definitely visit again! Service, atmosphere, food and drinks were great.
